Car Coats have a typically smart design, with a simplicity of construction making the style versatile and easy to wear & this example is no exception. The Car Coat features a button front closure, two jetted hip pockets, zipped chest pocket and standard collar. The coat has an overall refined tailored aesthetic that over time will contour & develop to the wearer's body.Â
The horsehide leather used for the shell is tanned especially for Orgueil, using a specific tea-core recipe. The topcoat is a rich glossy black, which over time will wear to show the natural brown base-coat underneath. The Car Coat is lined with a soft olive-drab wool serge for some extra warmth while the sleeves have a hidden knitted wool 'storm' cuff to keep out any draft & for added comfort.Â
